Cardento is a very well bred Holsteiner out of a proven sire line. The dam line (Holstein nr. 741) produces strong performers. Cardento has proven himself at the highest level in sport. With rider Peter Eriksson he was a solid member of the Swedish team at the big shows. He received a Silver medal at the World Championships, European Championships and at the Olympics in 2004. He won the Nation Cup of Rome, Drammen and Ikast. Individually he won the Grand Prix of Holte, Helsingborg, Angelholm, Gera, Kungsbacke (twice) and took 2nd place in Aarhus. He also was 6th in the Worldcup Qualifier of Gotenborg, 4th in the German Classics of Hannover and 6th in the Grand Prix of Stockholm.

Cardento is an internationally valued stallion for breeding. His offspring have placed highly at several international shows: Classic Lady won the Grand Prix of Moorsele and was the World Champion for 7 year old jumpers in 2006 and the Swedish Champion of the 5 year old jumpers in 2004. Canthara placed 2nd in the Grand Prix of Norkopping and in 2008 she won the Swedish Indoor Championship, placed 2nd in the Grand Prix of Odense and 8th in the Grand Prix of Aarhus. Glory Days placed 3rd in the Grand Prix of Odense, 4th in the Grand Prix of Munchen and 8th in the Grand Prix of Norkopping. Cazino won with his rider Rodrigo Pessoa already 5 international classes; Midsummer placed 6th in the Grand Prix of Roggel; Kiara La Silla placed 2nd in the Grand Prix of Paderborn; Caramell KS was 2nd in the Grand Prix of Stockholm and 5th in Falsterbo’s Derby. Draco won the Puissance at the European Championships of Windsor and placed 5th in the Grand Prix of Gijon. Hidden Creek’s Campella placed 2nd in the World Cup Qualifier of Syracause.

Other successful offspring are: Udento, Cyklon, Carisma, Cardaxo, Matrix, Cardelia, Candide, Capricorn, Carrera, Flower Power, and many more. His son Carrera is approved by the studbook Zangersheide. Daughter B-Dame received a very high score of 88 points for her IBOP. The third, fourth and fifth placed horses at the Swedish Championships for the 6 year old division were all sired by Cardento. In the Swedish Championship for the 5 year old jumpers one of his offspring placed 3rd.

Based on the results of his offspring Cardento is titled ‘Elite’ and he has received the Breeders trophy in Sweden five times. Cardento also became the 2009 ‘Swedish horse of the Year.’ A title which he had also received in 2006!

Cardento Stallion of the year 2009
Cardento became Stallion of the Year 2009 in Sweden. This award is given by the ASVH (The Swedish Warmblood Association). Cardento received this award based on his own results and on the results of his offspring. In Sweden Cardento is leading the ranking of the jumpingindex. Cardento is the first stallion who receives this award for the 2nd time; he was also choosen as the Swedish Horse of the Year in 2006.

Cardento-mare Glory Days 3rd in Grand Prix Odense
The Cardento-mare Glory Days, ridden by Daniel Zetterman, placed 3rd in the Grand Prix of Odense. The Corland-mare Heechhiem's Tersina placed 8th in this Grand Prix, she is ridden by Nathalie van der Mei.

Carrera VDL approved by Zangersheide
The Cardento-son Carrera VDL is approved by Studbook Zangersheide. Carrera VDL is a son of Cardento out of a mother by Baloubet du Rouet. The mother is a sister of Markus Fuchs his world famous horse Tinka's Boy. Carrera VDL showed great techniques and lots of scope, he is owned by the VDL Stud and mr. P. Bastiaans.

Foal by Cardento Champion
Foal Show of Harich. More then 170 foals were judged on type and movement at this show and there were good results offspring of VDL Stallions.Placed 2nd of the jumpingbred marefoals was Endivia VDL, a filly by Cardento out of the Indorado-mare Anolivia VDL of the VDL Stud.

Good results at CSI Lummen
Cardento's offspring did very well at CSI Lummen:

Canthara, ridden by Viveca Lundbeck won the 1.40 class. Classic Lady with her rider Svante Johannson placed 3rd and 4th in 1.40 classes. Matrix placed with his rider Robin Ingvarrson 3rd and 5th in the 1.40 classes. Caramell KS placed 6th in 1.40 class, ridden by Svante Johannson.

In this same class Lissabon, ridden by Robin Ingvarrson placed 10th.

Conery (also by Cardento) placed 4th in the 1.30 class.
