Dexter has grown into a handsome young horse. He is brave, and has a can-do attitude towards everything. His temperament is even, friendly and willing. He enjoys his people, and being the center of attention. This is a horse that everyone falls in love with -- he's a big goofy teddy bear. Dexter has been started slowly and correctly, with a firm dressage foundation. He is now happily jumping small courses, and enjoys hacking outside. For such a young horse, Dexter demonstrates a lot of ability to handle life. He takes everything in stride, travels well, and settles in to new surroundings easily. Dexter LOVES to jump and shows great eagerness and scope. He is a naturally clever jumper, and can already see his own distances. This is going to be a very competitive horse, and he will be a terrific partner for someone who wants to clean up in the hunter/jumper rings. Dexter is looking for an experienced show home where his potential can be appreciated and nurtured. The sky is the limit with this one!

Dexter's breeding is exceptional and rare. His sire is Chin Chin, a 2-time Olympian and multiple Grand Prix winner. Chin Chin was only available as a breeding stallion briefly towards the end of his life. Now deceased, his frozen semen supplies are gone, so there aren't going to be any more of these! There are very few Chin Chin offspring in existence, and there are only a handful of them in North America. Progeny of Chin Chin are highly prized as top level sport horses. He produced several approved stallion sons, who are living proof of his value as a breeding stallion.

Dexter's dam, Lidin, is an elite mare by Nimmerdor, who deservedly earned the title ¨Sire of the Century¨. Nimmerdor was a foundation sire of today's Royal Dutch Sporthorse, found in the pedigrees of countless international competitors in both jumping and dressage. Lidin is one of only a select few Nimmerdor daughters in North America, a rare find of outstanding quality. Dexter's granddam, Cilia, is a Prestatie mare, the highest honor that a Dutch mare can be given. True to her heritage, Lidin has proven to be an incredible producer. Three first premum foals in a row - you can't ask for more than that! Her 2006 Indoctro filly, Baelidin, ranked 3rd in the Top Five KWPN-NA jumper yearlings of 2007.
